All About Me...

2 weeks ago, we were learning about "All about me". We created a google drawing about ourselves and from this, we got to learn more about each other. This is my poster 'All about me'.

My woven photo portait

Woven Photo Portrait

  1. What did you accomplish?
My accomplishment was creating a woven photograph portrait of myself, following a pattern.

  1. Are you satisfied with your woven photo portrait? Why / Why not?
I am not so satisfied because my face does not align with my lips.

  1. What did you find easy when you created your woven photo portrait?
The thing that I found easy was gluing the strips.

  1. What did you find challenging when you were weaving your woven photo portrait?
The thing that I found challenging was ensuring my face was symmetrical and in proportion.

  1. What do you need to work on?
I personally think that I need to work on my patience.

6. What would you adjust with your woven photo portrait?
I would take my time to make it precise and perfect.

7. What would you do next time to improve your self portrait?

Have more patience because when I just started I thought it was cool so I rushed.

What makes a good teacher ?

What Makes A Good Teacher
Writing
Prepared by Melianna Aute- Talo

OBJECTIVES

Skills- Challenging, Brainy and Passionate

Attitude- Respectful, Funny and Organised
Qualities- Determined, Helpful and Honest

Intro:

Us as kids think that having a good teacher means to be kind and caring. But let's go even deeper. “WHAT MAKES A GOOD TEACHER?” I think that a good teacher should encourage us, cheer us up when we are down and help us in times of need.

It's about the skills…
Teachers have to give their students challenges “Right?”, I think that challenges aren’t supposed to be around easy or in the middle, I think it has to be around hard. If it is around easy then there is no point in having a challenge. Your teacher should challenge your mind so that when you are older you can think faster and better; so that the class can work harder and put their mind to it so that they can do it, and their work will be more challenging for them.

It's about the Attitude…
“Is your teacher organised?” My teacher is… To be an organised teacher you have to get your things straight. So when you are at home get your things ready in order so that when you wake up in the morning you do not have to run around finding whatever it is you need.

It's about the Qualities…
Encourage? In my eyes I think that encouragement is when you cheer the ones that want to give up and never try again. Are your students wanting to give up and never try again… Well all they need is encouragement. That is what a perfect teacher does.
My Conclusion…
In the end I think that these three main points would make a perfect teacher. I am pretty sure that Jesus was one of these as well and if you just follow these steps then you would  be like Jesus for sure.

What's in my head?

What's in my head?
In this piece of art we have identified what is in our heads.
In my head I'm all over the place, I have ups and downs.
Here on the left I have my down words, on my right I have my up words. At the bottom I have apps that I use and 2  NBA team singlets that are my favourite ( Lakers & Toronto Raptors).
In the top 2 corners are emojis with feelings that I feel.

An Ode to St Francis

O’dearest St Francis
Your eyes sparkle like oriental pearls
Your joyful smile always lightens up my day
Your face shows days of knowledge
You make my heart happy

Born in Assisi, Italy
He was one of seven kids
Named as Giovanni di pietro di bernardone
Beloved son of Pica and Pietro
The patron saints of the poor and animals
Died October 3, 1226

O, St Francis
What is it like to be a Saint?
What is the feeling like to be in heaven?
You haved lived serving and caring for others
People have admired you as a role model
You have made a portion of the world a better place

This term in Room 3 Christ the King, we have been learning how to write a poem. With our poems we are going to make an anthology, which is a collection of
poems. This poem that I have made is an Ode to a special SAINT which is St Francis of Assisi. If you can leave a Positive, Helpful, Thoughtful comment that would be nice. Hope you enjoyed it...
